ELLENSBURG, WA – Producers for the hit Youtube kids show ‘Blippi’ have issued an official apology after filming an episode in which Blippi visits a hospital overrun with Coronavirus victims. “Shocking insensitivity!” said one angry parent. “My son Carter will be traumatized for life!”
“Hi! I’m Blippi!” the episode begins. “Today we are visiting a hospital that treats Coronavirus! Heeheehee WOOOW! Coronavirus is a virus that will suffocate and kill you slowly! Ewwwww! Let’s count the patients! 1… 2… 3… 4… FOUR PATIENTS! Now, let’s count the number of life-saving ventilators! 1… 2… 3… UH-OH. Which ones should we give the ventilators to?”
YouTube issued an apology and confirmed they have demonetized Blippi’s channel. Blippi himself issued a statement apologizing to parents and committed to “be better” in the future. The controversial video, and the accompanying “Coronavirus Song” will be removed from his channel. To fill his budget shortfall, Blippi confirmed that future videos will be sponsored by Nord VPN and Raid: Shadow Legends. Blippi’s channel will also be on hiatus until the host recovers from Coronavirus.
